Harrogate - The Spa at Rudding Park Hotel

The Spa at Rudding Park Hotel

Joe and I visited Rudding Park Spa in Harrogate for my 19th birthday, and this is now my favourite spa by far.

We arrived to a grand entrance with a long drive way, it looked lovely, it's such a photogenic place. A man then checked us in and took us a tour around the spa. Every door has an Apple logo on which I thought was a nice touch. The decor is stunning, just like what a spa should look like. The changing rooms were amazing, the lighting is great & very spacious. You get given a wristband which is your key for access to all the doors and your locker which I found very handy.

We walked up to the rooftop and we were amazed. They have an outdoor jacuzzi with a sauna, it was a little cold but that didn't stop us. Back inside they have different scented steam rooms which we had to explore.

What can I say about the pool, I was blown away. It was outside but it was so warm you don't feel a thing. It was very relaxing and has the best view, we just sat listening to birds tweet & obviously I got some photos!

The balance of people was good as it wasn't too busy, theres nothing worse than being at a spa and you have to wait for a free space.

If you actually want to swim theres a pool downstairs which is also nice but very cold!

We had the Mud Ritual, which is a Traditional Moorish mud treatment which lasts 25 minutes. It was in a private room for the both of us, we got to chose from various muds which we would like to use.

The room was a sort of steam room which got very warm whilst we had different warm muds to cover ourselves in. It then became like a rainforest to wash off all the muds, it was lots of fun.
My skin felt amazing afterwards!

There seems to be random rooms everywhere with seating, so we chose one with a fab view to chill out in after.

The Food

We went downstairs for lunch and ate in the Horto Cafe, we kept our robes on which I loved not having to get changed, it felt so much more relaxing.

& again they had the most beautiful decor. I personally loved the style of the Cafe and the tableware.

It had a set menu so it's great if you want to try things but I would call myself fussy, however Joe isn't, so it isn't great if all you like to eat is pizza!

I can't wait to go back, the whole day was so lovely!
